UUJAZ

Chalice Lighters is a voluntary organization for altruistic people in the Pacific Southwest District (PSWD). Joining commits you to contributing $20 (or more at your discretion) for up to three congregational calls and one justice call per year. Chalice Lighters help fund the growth of Unitarian Universalism in our district by contributing to facility improvements or one-time profession leadership costs—improvements that would significantly strengthen a congregation’s ministry.

Congregations may apply for grants if they are in PSWD, contribute their fair share to UUA and PSWD, and have 20% of their members as contributing Chalice Lighters. To sign up, go to the PSWD website, www.pswduua.org, click on the Chalice Lighter tab in the left column, then click on the printable brochure in the “You Can Help” box, fill it out and send in your check.
Granite Peak UU Congregation used their qualification to apply for the 2014 Justice Call on behalf of Unitarian Universalist Justice Arizona (UUJAZ), the new statewide justice organization that nurtures congregational social justice ministries, networks congregations across the state, and monitors the AZ Legislature for opportunities to bring our UU voice and values to the public discourse. To contribute to this Chalice Lighter Justice Call, please write your check to PSWD Chalice Lighters and send it to 2052 Norma Street, Oxnard, CA 93036. Be sure to write “2014 Justice Call” or “UUJAZ” in the memo line. Thanks for your generosity!
